Pulse Yoga Teacher Training
March 11-14, 2010
Vail, COLORADO

Pulse Yoga is distinguished by the addition of free weights and micro movements within yoga postures. Pulse Yoga has been tested and proven to be more effective than functional resistance training in a clinical research trial.

The 4-day 32-hour teacher training is a profound analysis of four Pulse Yoga yoga routines. The system has been developed and is taught by Argie Ligeros Tang E-RYT and Prisca Boris, RYT, who have combined teaching experience of 45 years.  For this training, we have two special guests, Laura Marx, Physical Therapist, and Paul Arciero, specializing in performance nutrition and exercise training for optimal health. You can view Dr. Paul’s Protocol at http://www.nourishingscience.com/index.php.

Fitness professionals, yoga teachers, physical education teachers as well as members and students who wish to obtain an in depth understanding of Pulse Yoga will learn the teaching monologue, alignment principles, benefits and biomechanics of all postures, as well as the modifications for special populations.  A comprehensive teaching manual containing color photos and information for all of the postures is provided, along with dvds of each of the four routines.

Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone DVD Review and Giveaway

Yoga has always been one of my favorite forms of exercise. I don’t claim to be the expert in this

subject but I have enough experience (attended several yoga classes in the past and own several

yoga home DVDs) to know when a yoga exercise program is worthy or not, of your time and

money.

I recently received the Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone

DVD for my review and what great timing! I am in full

force about keeping up with my daily workout routine

now that I’m getting married and want to look great in

my wedding dress. So the arrival of this DVD at my

front door was just perfect! :)

So after several workouts using the Pulse Yoga II

Balance & Tone DVD, here’s my take:

if you want to tone your upper body in a slow-paced

yoga mode using free weights, then this is one home

video exercise to check out. I love the idea of using

pulses while doing the yoga moves which are

incorporated throughout this 60-minute balance and

tone workout. The main fitness instructor Argie Tang is

very precise in her instructions so you feel like you’re

really learning from a real expert. Read about her bio

here, along with her assistant Prisca Boris. I love this

yoga workout DVD and I definitely recommend it to

anyone!

Product details: Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone

Balance in motion are emphasized here by connecting standing balancing postures in order to

tone the upper body.

Sunrise at Punta Mita

January 13th, 2010

amanacer(crop)This is a view of the sunrise from the house where some of us will be staying. Let me tell you of the walks on and around the beach we will be taking between Pulse Yoga and cooking sessions. We will use our free weights on the walks. Lately I have been experimenting with using free weights on my morning walks. I use 3 lb. weights and try to find movements that work with a brisk walk. I have come up with 8 different movements. One of them is like this: Bring your weights in front of your shoulders, upper arms close to torso. Reach straight up and hold the weights overhead for 10 steps while keeping shoulders down away from the ears. Slowly lower the arms to the sides for a count of 10 steps until they arms are at shoulder level. Hold for another 10 steps. Lower arms to sides and relax for 10 steps. Repeat. This builds your upper body strength while walking. It also increases your heart rate more so than if you are just walking. It allows you to burn more calories!
